Censorship reports show a mixed picture on U.S. book challenges
In observance of Banned Books Week, the American Library Association and PEN America released reports on book censorship across the country.

ALA announced two speaker sessions at the ALA 2024 Annual Conference & Exhibition. The conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, June 27-July 2. Teen app developer Jay'Aina "Jay Jay" Patton and software engineer Antoine Patton will discuss their new book, “Dear Dad: Growing Up with a Parent in Prison—and How We Stayed Connected". Also presenting is woodworker John Furniss and his artist wife, Anni Furniss, who will discuss their new autobiographical book, “The Blind Woodsman."
