CHICAGO — The Games and Gaming Round Table of the American Library Association is proud to sponsor its annual grant program to enable libraries to develop gaming programs or collections for their patrons. Through the “Game On!” grants, $500.00 will be available to be awarded to assist a library or libraries in developing gaming programs or collections for their communities.

Roselle Public Library District and Seward County Community College Library announced as recipients of GameRT’s 2022 Game On! Grant

CHICAGO — The Games & Gaming Round Table (GameRT) of the American Library Association is pleased to announce two recipients of their Game On! Grant for 2022 – Roselle Public Library District (Roselle, IL) and Seward County Community College Library (Liberal, KS). GameRT introduced the new grant program in 2020 with the intention of providing libraries with the opportunity to receive funds to develop gaming programs or collections for their community. The grants allow for GameRT to award one grant of $500 or two of $250 each year and any type of library is eligible to apply.

Gear up for International Games Week 2018

It has been a long time coming, but International Games Week is back! This year’s event will take place during the week of November 4th through the 10th. This annual tradition is an initiative run by volunteers from around the world and hosted by the American Library Association, in collaboration with Nordic Games Week, Australian Library and Information Association, and L’Associazione Italiana Biblioteche! Each year libraries are encouraged to participate by creating fun, educational and innovative programs that encourage gaming in their communities.
