United for Libraries

PHILADELPHIA —  The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), will host its Specialized Outreach Services Luncheon, featuring ALA Executive Director Keith Michael Fiels, from noon-1:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday, June 23 at the Anaheim Marriott, Newport Beach and Rancho Las Palmas, at the 2012 ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif.

PHILADELPHIA —  The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), has awarded the 2012 ALTAFF/Gale Outstanding Trustee Conference Grant to Karen Parrilli, a member of the Board of Trustees at Skokie (Ill.) Public Library. Parrilli will receive $850 plus full conference registration to attend the 2012 ALA Annual Conference June 21-26 in Anaheim, Calif. A formal presentation to Parilli will be made at the conference.

PHILADELPHIA —  The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), will host “Books without Boundaries: Crossover Fiction for YAs and Adults”  from 10:30 a.m.-noon PDT at the Anaheim Convention Center, 206B, on Monday, June 25 at the 2012 ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim.
