PHILADELPHIA — United for Libraries will designate the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York a Literary Landmark in honor of Madeleine L’Engle on Thursday, Nov. 29.
The Literary Landmark will be dedicated to recognize the church’s connection with L’Engle, a legendary children’s author who wrote the literary classic “A Wrinkle in Time” (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1962). She served as the church’s librarian for more than 40 years.
