CHICAGO -- This December, the Public Library Association (PLA) is proud to present a webinar in December on the topic of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in libraries. This webinar will provide an introductory understanding of the concepts of power, identity, and oppression, and how they impact public libraries’ staff, services, programs, collections, and spaces.

CHICAGO – In early December, PLA will host a webinar highlighting how select libraries are using Project Outcome to align performance measurement efforts with strategic priorities and measuring their success in priority program areas. This webinar, Integrating Project Outcome into Strategic Planning & Measuring Priority Areas, will be held 1 – 2 p.m.

Chicago -- One oft-overlooked aspect of making and makerspaces is its potential for empowerment, especially among populations that are otherwise marginalized or underrepresented. This 90 minute webinar will discuss why making is important for these populations, and what libraries can do to ensure their makerspaces are safe spaces of diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
