CHICAGO–Join Core on August 9, 2023, at 1 p.m. CT for the webinar “Best of Core at ALA Annual Conference: Co-worker to Supervisor; Managing Previous Peers.” The past two years changed so much in our industry that more managers are choosing to retire or reduce their hours, which in turn creates exciting new openings. Here we will closely examine the excitement, reward, pitfalls and demands that come from the transition from co-worker to supervisor. Group discussions will focus on internal promotions and upward mobility.

CHICAGO—Join Core on August 2, 2023, at 1 p.m. CT for the webinar “Best of Core at ALA Annual Conference: Championing Net-Zero Energy for Your Library.” Libraries, as civic institutions, have a responsibility to embody the values they promote in their communities. A Net-Zero Energy library building is a way of demonstrating a commitment to long-term sustainability. This program, structured for audiences of any experience level, uses a case study framework to articulate the sustainable strategies used in two Net-Zero Energy public library facilities.
