CHICAGO -- This December, the Public Library Association (PLA) is proud to present a webinar in December on the topic of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in libraries. This webinar will provide an introductory understanding of the concepts of power, identity, and oppression, and how they impact public libraries’ staff, services, programs, collections, and spaces.

CHICAGO — Public library workers are invited to apply for a $500 stipend to attend "Stand Up for Health: Health and Wellness Services for Your Community," a preconference workshop held at the Public Library Association (PLA) 2018 Conference in Philadelphia.

The conference will be held from March 20 to 24, 2018, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

CHICAGO — The deadline for prospective speakers to submit session proposals for the Public Library Association (PLA) 2018 Conference is almost here. The 2018 Conference, to be held March 20-24 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will challenge its attendees to Imagine the Possibilities. Preconference and program proposals must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, April 14, 2017.

CHICAGO – The Public Library Association (PLA) 2016 Conference was an extraordinary learning experience for public librarians, with over 8,000 attendees and more than 100 educational sessions presented. If you weren’t able to make it to Denver this year or missed out while you were there, PLA has taken three of the top sessions from the conference and transformed them into live, one-hour webinars.
