BRYN MAWR, Pennsylvania —  United for Libraries is pleased to present the ALA Store’s new downloadable Friend Your Library bookmark and poster as a free benefit to all United for Libraries statewide group members in Texas, Nebraska and Michigan.

The downloadable items recognize the importance of Friends of the Library groups, can be used to recruit new members year round, and to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week, Oct. 15-21, 2017. All PDFs feature space to feature the library’s message using Adobe Reader or Acrobat software. The products were developed in partnership with ALA Graphics.

“Our statewide membership to United for Libraries has tremendous value to Nebraska libraries — in so many ways,” said Mary Jo Ryan, Nebraska Library Commission Communications Coordinator. “As we prepare to celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week 2017, we are so pleased that our statewide membership offers access to materials to help Nebraska libraries communicate the numerous ways community residents can support their libraries. At our upcoming statewide library conference, we’ll be demonstrating how to use the graphics files from United for Libraries to make buttons, bookmarks and luggage tags that provide a lasting reminder to sign up, donate, volunteer, share, speak up, and volunteer in local libraries.”

Additional Friend Your Library products are available for purchase from the ALA Store, including buttons (6-pack or 18-pack) and a downloadable art set with three flyer templates and one tri-fold brochure template. United for Libraries group members receive a 10% discount on purchases from the ALA Store (does not apply to special offers or sets; discounts are not combined).

United for Libraries offers discounted pricing for states or regions that purchase group membership for their libraries.
