International Games Day publicity tools encourage all to read, laugh, play @ your library

CHICAGO — With International Games Day @ your library just around the corner (Saturday, Nov. 3), the American Library Association (ALA) is offering free publicity resources to help libraries of all types publicize their local activities.

Librarians can find the free publicity tools online, including logos and other downloadable artwork, sample press release, letter to the editor, customizable PSA scripts and post cards.

International Games Day @ your library is an initiative of the American Library Association to reconnect communities through their libraries around the educational, recreational and social value of all types of games. This year marks our 5th annual event. In 2011, more than 27,700 people played games at more than 1,400 libraries across the U.S. and in other countries.
