ALA-APA Salary Survey: Librarian now published biennially
CHICAGO - This is typically the season for the "ALA-APA Salary Survey: Librarian – Public and Academic." The survey publication schedule has been changed to a biennial edition. This means the next issue will be published in 2012. Directors and Human Resources staff for libraries that will be part of our random sample in 2012 will be contacted by the American Library Association (ALA) consultant between December 2011 and January 2012.
ALA and the American Library Association-Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA) appreciate those staff members who have responded in the past and hope that the library community will continue to support the surveys. For your convenience, the data from 2006 to 2010 is available in the Library Salary Database - http://ala-apa.org/files/2010/04/SalarySurveySubscriptionForm.pdf - for just $50 for a 30-day subscription. The ALA-APA Salary Survey: Non-MLS – Public and Academic will next be published in 2013. The last edition was in 2007.
Please contact Jenifer Grady, jgrady@ala.org, or Cathleen Bourdon, cbourdon@ala.org, if there are questions.
