PLA’s 13th National Conference in Portland. The Store, located in the Exhibit Hall of the Oregon Convention Center, will be open for business
Wednesday, March 24: 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 25: 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday, March 26: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

Public Library Services for the Poor: Doing All We Can,” by Leslie Edmonds Holt and Glen E. Holt, will be making its first conference appearance in Portland. This groundbreaking work motivates librarians to use creative solutions to meet the needs of this disadvantaged population. From useful marketing books like “

The Early Literacy Kit,” by Saroj Nadkarni Ghoting and Pamela Martin-Diaz and “

ALA Graphics will offer a large assortment of new and best-selling posters and bookmarks, including debuts for Queen Rania, Taraji P. Henson, and Bone. The third poster in the
Twilight series--Eclipse, featuring Dakota Fanning--will be available, along with the
New Moon and Twilight posters. National Library Week items will also be on hand. READ Design Studio demonstrations will be offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, March 26, detailing how to create customized READ® posters.
Publications from many ALA divisions will also be available for purchase as well as the official conference t-shirt.
