CHICAGO - This week is Teen Tech Week, sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). Teen Tech Week ensures that teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks and videogames.

The promotional effort for this year’s Teen Tech Week, held March 7 - 13, is coordinated by ALA’s Public Information Office (PIO) and YALSA.

You can learn more about Teen Tech Week by visiting the ALA Public Information Office (PIO) blog, Visibility @ your library (
www.pio.ala.org/visibility). In addition to information about online tools to publicize Teen Tech Week, the blog also offers a podcast featuring Stephanie Kuenn, YALSA communications specialist.

Visibility @ your library provides librarians and library supporters with news and information about important communications issues from ALA’s Public Information Office and the Campaign for America’s Libraries.
