CHICAGO — @ your library, American Library Association’s Campaign for America’s Libraries, is seeking an original, creative design for its first ever
Design a Tote Bag contest. We want to see how your design can illustrate the spirit and importance of American libraries!
The Grand Prize Winner will receive $500, and the People’s Choice Award Winner will receive $100. In addition, the Grand Prize Winner’s design will be featured on a limited edition of @ your library tote bags.
The design must incorporate “atyourlibrary.org” somewhere so that it’s easily readable, but other than that be as creative as you want! Keep in mind that libraries are about more than just books—many offer career centers, classes, movies, music and much more. You don’t have to be a designer either — all people of different skill levels are invited to submit! You can even submit a phrase or tagline presented in a unique way.
To enter the contest, please submit a design to
atyourlibrary@yahoo.com before Friday, Oct. 16, 2009.
Voting for The People’s Choice Award ends Oct. 23, 2009, and is open to everyone. Cast your vote by joining the @ your library Design a Tote Bag Contest Flickr group (
http://www.flickr.com/groups/atyourlibrary-designcontest) and clicking “Add as Favorite” above the appropriate design.
The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by an internal @ your library team. Both the Grand Prize Winner and People’s Choice Award Winner will be announced Nov. 4, 2009.
