Recruit a new member to YALSA by March 23 and win a Flip Video camera

CHICAGO —Encourage a friend or colleague to join the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), by March 23, and both could win a Flip Ultra video camera. All current YALSA members who recruit a new member to YALSA will be entered into a drawing to win a free Flip Video Ultra camcorder for themselves and their new recruits. The member drive ends March 23.
“Although YALSA has a large and dynamic membership we know that there are many more librarians out there serving teens who could benefit from joining us,” said YALSA President Sarah Cornish Debraski. “The more members we have, the more people we are preparing to advocate for youth.”
To enter, members should visit the 2009 Member Drive Web site at
www.ala.org/drive2009 and download the special membership form. They can then fill in their own names on the form where it says “Person Who Recruited You,” before passing the form on to colleagues, coworkers and friends.
All membership forms for the contest need to be received at the YALSA office by March 23. Those paying by check may mail the form to: YALSA Member Drive, 50 E. Huron St., Chicago, IL 60611. If paying by credit card, they may be faxed to (312) 280-5276.
After March 23, one membership form will be randomly drawn from the entries received. The new member and the recruiter will each win a Flip Video Ultra camera. Two runners-up will receive a box of books from YALSA. Winners will be notified and announced on the YALSA website.
