CHICAGO – Learn more about how Thinkfinity.org @ your library is featuring YALSA’s Teen Tech Week by visiting Visibility @ your library,
www.pio.ala.org/visibility.

Thinkfinity @ your library is the new specially designed librarian page of Thinkfinity.org, the Verizon Foundation’s online portal to 55,000 standards-based, grade-specific, K-12 lesson plans and other educational resources provided with many of the nation’s leading educational and literacy organizations.

This week, Thinkfinity @ your library highlights Teen Tech Week (March 8-14), which was first celebrated in 2007 with the theme Get Connected @ your library. Teen Tech Week is a national initiative encouraging teens to become competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames. Teen Tech Week also recognizes that librarians are qualified, trusted professionals in the field of information technology.

Visibility @ your library provides librarians and library supporters with news and information about important communications issues from the American Library Association’s Public Information Office and the Campaign for America’s Libraries. It also offers the latest editions of ALA News, the ALA’s weekly electronic news service.
