Author and consultant Patricia Martin will speak at the LLAMA President’s Program from 1:30-3 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, in Chicago at the Fairmont Hotel International Ballroom. Martin is one of the nation's foremost authorities on the emerging marketplace created by the convergence of art, entertainment, education and technology. She is president of
LitLamp Communications Group, an award-winning communications firm she founded in 1995. The firm has worked with a variety of organizations, including the Discovery Channel, Bank North, the Seattle Opera, the New York Philharmonic, Target, Unisys and Sun Microsystems. She was the Chicago Public Library's Charlotte Kim Scholar in Residence, 2008.

Martin is the author of “
RenGen: Renaissance Generation--The Rise of the Cultural Consumer and What It Means to Your Business.” The book is based on a two-year research effort by Martin and her team, which gathered insights from a diverse array of experts. Her analysis draws on her 20-plus years working with artists and corporate executives alike who are anxious to understand the cultural consumer. Her thinking goes beyond standard demographics to paint a new picture of the American consumer as a thinking, expressive individual.

Copies of her book will be available for purchase at the program.
