The American Library Association (ALA) is pleased to announce that the Neal-Schuman Foundation has joined the ALA’s Library Champions program. The foundation was established in 2000 by Patricia Glass Schuman and John Vincent Neal, founders of Neal-Schuman Publishers, to aid, assist and promote research and educational activities for the improvement of library and information services.

Company President Pat Schuman is a Past President of ALA, and her groundbreaking work on behalf of library advocacy, including the co-founding of the Library Champions group to support ALA’s first national media campaign to increase library funding, has garnered her many awards and accolades. “We believe in libraries and librarians” says Schuman, “and as a company we are dedicated to creating essential tools for the library community.”

Please stop by the Neal-Schuman Publishers at booth 1424 during Midwinter exhibit hours to thank them for their support and visit their website at
www.neal-schuman.com.

Library Champions help ALA promote the value of library service and librarianship to the public. These corporations and foundations support ALA’s efforts to raise the visibility of libraries and librarians across the nation. Their commitment provides ALA with the resources to establish diverse initiatives and programs.
