CHICAGO – In an audio interview, George Eberhart, editor of
American Libraries Direct, the weekly e-newsletter of
American Libraries magazine, discusses the special edition of AL
Direct being released Jan. 20.

The interview can be heard on the Visibility @ your library Web site at
http://www.pio.ala.org/visibility.

The special edition will describe the many ways the American Library Association (ALA) is involved in dealing with libraries facing a tough economy. “There are many units, offices and divisions in the association that are working with libraries to help them in a variety of ways, and we wanted to put together a special package of news articles and (items) from our Web site that exactly tells what we are doing,” Eberhart said.

Visibility @ your library provides librarians and library supporters with news and information about important communications issues from ALA’s Public Information Office and the Campaign for America’s Libraries.

American Libraries is the magazine of the American Library Association.
