CHICAGO - Tickets to attend the 2009 May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture, featuring Walter Dean Myers, renowned author of fiction, poetry and nonfiction for children and young adults, are now available.
The lecture is administered by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), and is being hosted this year by the Langston Hughes Library of the Children’s Defense Fund Haley Farm, with the support of The University of Tennessee School of Information Sciences, Knoxville, the University of Tennessee’s Center for Children’s and Young Adult Literature, the Knox County Public Library and the Clinton Public Library.
The lecture is scheduled for April 18 and will be held at the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Haley Farm, which will be open to Arbuthnot guests beginning at 11 a.m. Lecture attendance is free, but tickets must be reserved ahead of time. To register online, visit:
