Registration Rates announced for PLA 2009 Spring Symposium
The Public Library Association (PLA) has announced registration rates for its 2009 Spring Symposium, to be held April 2-4 in Nashville, Tenn. Registration will open Sept. 2 and feature an early bird rate of $250 for PLA and Tennessee Library Association (TLA) members through Oct. 31. After Oct. 31, registration rates for PLA and TLA members will be $275. Registration rates are $350 for American Library Association members and $425 for non-members.
The 2009 Symposium will feature six-day-and-a-half-long workshops targeted toward a variety of public library professionals. In addition, the Symposium will feature special events such an Opening General Session and dessert reception, which is open to all attendees. An author's luncheon and library tours will be available for an additional fee.
PLA is a division of the American Library Association. PLA's core purpose is to strengthen public libraries and their contribution to the communities they serve.
