Lama preconference in Anaheim provides new leadership skills

The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) will present “An Inside Look at Leadership” in conjunction with the American Library Association (ALA) annual conference in Anaheim, Calif., June 27. This preconference is presented in partnership with The Pacific Institute (
http://www.pac-inst.com/), and is intended for everyone in leadership positions as well as those moving toward leadership roles within their organizations or lives. Participants will: improve effective thinking skills; heighten self-confidence; increase self-motivation; attain goals that were once thought out of reach; and understand paths to career growth.

“An Inside Look at Leadership” will feature Robin Eriksen Brumett, an associate of the Pacific Institute. She is an experienced consultant with organizations positioning themselves for positive growth and organizational change. Her clients value her leadership experience, strategic approach to issues and communication style.

Brumett is a cum laude graduate in communications from the University of Washington. She received additional training at the Harvard Graduate School of Business, University of Washington Graduate School of Business and the Sterling Institute of Washington, DC.

Early bird registration for “An Inside Look at Leadership” is available through March 7 at
