LAMA committee appointments beginning soon

Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) President-elect Molly Raphael and the chairs-elect of LAMA sections will soon begin making appointments to committees for terms beginning immediately after the ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif. LAMA wants your involvement, so please go to
http://www.ala.org/ala/lama/aboutlama/lamamemresource/lamaforms/lamaactivity.cfm and complete a volunteer form indicating which appointments would interest you. Please note that the appointing officer will only see volunteer forms completed since the last Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. - ALA's automated appointment system does not carry volunteer forms from one fiscal year to the next.




President-elect Raphael will be responsible for appointments to LAMA-wide committees, while the section chairs-elect will make the appointments for the committee's in their sections. Appointment invitations will be issued beginning March 15. If you are appointed to a LAMA committee, you are welcome to attend the committee's meetings in Anaheim so you can be fully briefed when your term begins after the conference, but you are not obligated to do so.
