ASCLA accepts applications for Century Scholarship

CHICAGO - The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is accepting applications for the Century Scholarship, an annual $2,500 scholarship that funds services or accommodations for a library school student or students with disabilities until March 1, 2008.

The Century Scholarship is an independently funded diversity initiative aimed at promoting the ALA's mission of improving service at the local level by training library workers who reflect the communities served by all libraries. Anyone interested in applying for the scholarship must attend an ALA-accredited master's or doctorate program in Library Science and become a library or information studies professional.
