Midwinter exhibitor event information now available via the Web

(Chicago) Exhibitor special event information for the American Library Association’s (ALA) Midwinter Meeting January 19 – 24 at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle is now available online at
www.ala.org/mwexhibits . More than 450 exhibitors will pack the convention center’s exhibit floor and offer free demonstrations and samples of the latest products and services for libraries and their users.

Exhibits will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony January 19 at 5:15 p.m., followed by an all-conference reception on the exhibit floor from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The reception, sponsored by exhibitors and the ALA, will offer music, free food and the chance to win prizes. Exhibitors will raffle away more than 60 gift baskets (valued over $75 each) during the event.

Exhibit hours are as follows:

Friday, January 19 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday, January 20-21 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Monday, January 22 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Exhibitor press kits also will be available in the Midwinter Meeting press office in the Washington State Convention & Trade Center on level six in the east lobby.

The ALA Midwinter Meeting is generally held in January. The conference draws more than 10,000 leaders in the library and information industry for some 2,000 meetings and events. Highlights of the meeting include the announcement of awards and lists recognizing the best in literature and audiovisual materials for children, teens and adults.
