LAMA leads the way with new blog

CHICAGO - The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), announces the launch of a new blog, “LEADS from LAMA.” The blog, which had a soft launch in August, replaces the electronic newsletter of the same name. It is available from the News page on the LAMA web site or directly at blogs.ala.org/lamaleads.php.

“LEADS from LAMA” will feature news and information about LAMA, ALA and other organizations of interest to LAMA members. Up-to-the-minute information about awards, conferences, important dates and deadlines and other resources will be included. The blog format will enable news to be published faster and reach a wider audience through RSS feeds.

LAMA volunteer web coordinator Brian C. Gray, a science librarian at Case Western Reserve University, designed the blog. Executive Director Lorraine Olley serves as the blog’s editor.

The mission of the Library Administration and Management Association (www.ala.org/lama) is to encourage and nurture current and future library leaders, and to develop and promote outstanding leadership and management practices.
