Walden Media to sponsor Dessert Reception at the 2006 AASL Fall Forum

CHICAGO — The American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is pleased to announce that Walden Media will sponsor the Dessert Reception at the 2006 Fall Forum, “Assessing Student Learning in the School Library Media Center.”

The Fall Forum will be held at the Crowne Plaza at the Crossings in Warwick, R.I. on October 13–15, 2006, and will feature a panel of nationally recognized speakers on the subject of school library media professionals’ role in student assessment.

The Dessert Reception will be held on Friday, October 13, 6 to 7:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for the arriving Fall Forum participants to come together in a social setting prior to the start of the sessions to meet one another and the Forum presenters and to network and exchange ideas.
