Joe Agati and Diane Bisom selected for LAMA Leadership Awards
CHICAGO - The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA), a division of the American Library Association, has selected Joe Agati and Diane Bisom as recipients of the 2006 LAMA Leadership Awards.
These awards honor individual LAMA members for outstanding contributions and support to LAMA and LAMA sections and committees.
Joe Agati, president of Agati, Inc., Chicago, has been a key member of the LAMA Buildings and Equipment Section (BES) for the past decade.
His hard work and generosity have been vital to the success of the section's programs during this time. Agati has generated creative program concepts and tapped the talents of the design community to support LAMA.
He has also provided financial support and served as a speaker at LAMA BES programs and preconferences.
Diane Bisom is the associate university librarian, Information Technology and Systems, at the University of California, Riverside.
As chair of the LAMA Web Advisory Board, she has been a key player and driving force behind the recent redesign of the LAMA website.
Her tireless efforts in this area have benefited the entire LAMA membership.
The LAMA Leadership Awards were presented during the LAMA President's Program, June 25, at the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans.
The mission of the Library Administration and Management Association (
