“Be well informed @ your library®” final report issued
CHICAGO – The “Be well informed @ your library®” Advisory Committee, chaired by Carla Hayden, director of the Enoch Pratt Free Library (Baltimore), has issued its final report,

Funded by Walgreens, “Be well informed @ your library®” provided grants to 10 public library systems. The goal of the project was to promote libraries as sources of accurate, reliable health information.
The following libraries worked with their local Walgreens pharmacists to present consumer health education seminars: Atlanta Fulton County Library; Boston Public Library; Chicago Public Library; Cleveland Public Library; County of Los Angeles Public Library; Detroit Public Library; Enoch Pratt Free Library, Baltimore; Houston Public Library; Orange County (Fla.) Library System; and San Diego Public Library.
Bibliographies of recommended books and websites for consumer health education are also available on the website.
