Swap & Shop seeks “jazzy” library public relations materials

CHICAGO - The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) Public Relations and Marketing Section is sponsoring its annual Swap & Shop display and give-away featuring the best library public relations materials of 2004. This year's program, entitled “Hit the Right Note with Jazzy PR,” will be held on Sunday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., McCormick Place S102, at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Chicago.

Libraries of all types are invited to send 150-200 copies of their best public relations materials, which will be set out for viewing and give-away. We welcome all kind of PR items for the Swap—from annual reports to zipper pulls. All submissions must have been created in 2004. You'll get great exposure for your hard work, and if you attend you'll get to fill a bag with inspiring samples to take home. You may just win a door prize, too!

To have your materials included, ship your 150-200 copies of each item to: SWAP & SHOP, c/o Dollester Thorn, LAMA, 50 East Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611, 1-800-545-2433 x5032. Materials must be postmarked no later than Friday, June 3, 2005.
