Learn how to “Get Out Your Vote!” at LAMA preconference
CHICAGO - Library directors, board of trustees, and Friends groups rely on gaining voter support in order to meet the challenging fiscal demands for library operating budgets and bond issues. The environment at the local level, including winning voter approval, requires new directions, new thinking and persistence. Learn these new tactics at “Get Out Your Vote! Running a Successful Levy Campaign,” a preconference offered by the Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) on Friday, June 24, in Chicago.
The primary purpose of the preconference is to provide information on ways to effectively run levy campaigns, including conducting voter research, strategic levy planning, targeting supporters, understanding the legal landscape and the process for placing an issue on the ballot. The presenters, Burges & Burges Strategists, have successfully navigated the political stream for hundreds of libraries.
