LAMA announces 2005 Group Achievement Award Recipient

CHICAGO – The Library Administration and Management Association is awarding its 2005 Group Achievement Award to the 2004 National Institute Planning Committee. The award honors a group of individuals for outstanding contributions to the goals of the association.

“Planning and implementing a conference is time-consuming and all encompassing work that can only be accomplished through excellent teamwork and team leadership,” said Recognition of Achievement Awards Committee Chair Marilyn Genther. “The committee is being honored for a superb effort developing programs, obtaining speakers, marketing the event and finding sponsors. The 2004 Institute was well received by attendees and the committee’s work is deserving of public recognition.”

The award will be presented during the LAMA President’s Program on Sunday, June 26, 1:30 p.m. at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.

LAMA, a division of ALA, promotes outstanding leadership and management practices and identifies, encourages, and nurtures tomorrow’s leaders and managers.
