ACRL seeks proposals for professional development programs

CHICAGO - The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) invites you to submit a proposal for a professional development workshop or preconference. Workshops will be offered prior to the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio, January 20-25, 2006, and preconferences will be offered prior to the ALA Annual Conference in New Orleans, June 22-28, 2006.
Workshops and/or preconferences can be either half or full-day sessions, which allow participants to learn new concepts and to develop skills related to a specific topic. Programs should focus on interactive learning and use a variety of presentation styles. Programs that offer practical tips and cutting-edge techniques are especially encouraged.
HOW TO SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
Complete the online proposal submission form at:
https://marvin.foresightint.com/surveys/Tier1Survey/ACRL/056. The ACRL Professional Development Committee will evaluate proposals and notifications will be issued by July 2005.
DEADLINE DATE
The deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, April 28, 2005.
CRITERIA
Evaluation criteria includes:
- Creativity, clarity, and appropriateness of topic
- Learning outcomes
- How the topic aligns with the ACRL Strategic Plan (
