LAMA to sponsor institute on successful fundraising
CHICAGO -
Giving USA 2005 reports that giving is going up for the first time since 2000. Are you ready to compete for growing philanthropic dollars? The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) is presenting a Midwinter institute titled “Successful Fundraising for Libraries: What Works Now!” that will inform attendants on what they need to succeed. The institute will be held, January 19-20, 2006, in the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center Room 207A in San Antonio.
Noted author and consultant Joan Flanagan will show how to expand a base of annual givers, increase major gifts, and find new business partners. Attendants will take home a one-year plan to develop more dependable income streams in ways that are consonant with their library's values.
A limited number of spaces are still available. For more information and to register contact Fred Reuland, 1-800-545-2433 x5032 or
freuland@ala.org. Registration closes January 13, 2006.
