To obtain an application for complimentary registration, please contact the ALA Chapter Relations Office at or 800-545-2433 ext 2429.

This complimentary registration is for full access to regular Annual Conference 2006 events. Additional events that require separate registration or fees are listed on the Special Registration Events page at and are not covered in this complimentary registration.

Because "Libraries Build Communities," the decision to hold the first citywide convention in post-Katrina New Orleans carries a special responsibility for ALA members. Annual Conference 2006 will feature an expanded career placement center, premier continuing education offerings, and extensive peer networking to help library workers connect with new opportunities for professional growth. We encourage members to join with their colleagues from New Orleans and across the Gulf Coast to rebuild libraries and to reinvigorate the profession through participation at Annual Conference in 2006.
