CDC and WHO Updates on Toronto
In light of recent reports of new cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), the World Health Organization (WHO) has put Toronto back on the list of places where local transmissions have occurred. The WHO, however, is not recommending any restrictions on travel to Toronto.
Listed below is the most recent information from the WHO and the U.S.-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The American Library Association is in touch with public health officials to gather the most complete information possible, and new information will be posted on the ALA home page and disseminated widely as soon as it is available.
