2003 David H. Clift Scholarship winner named

The American Library Association (ALA) is pleased to announce Charles N. Robinson III, of Cambridge, Mass., as the 2003 winner of the David H. Clift Scholarship.

The Clift Scholarship, named for David H. Clift, a former director of ALA, provides $3,000 to individuals pursuing a master’s degree in library and information studies.

“One thing I am gaining from the master’s program is a passion for letting the world know who librarians are and what we can offer,” said Robinson.
“There’s more to the Internet than a search box and there’s more to a library than books. The same is true for librarians who are experts in customer service, information technology and solutions.”

Robinson attends Simmons College.

Robinson was recognized in June during the ALA Annual Conference in Toronto.
