“Collaboration and Convergence: Navigating the Rivers of Change” will be the theme of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) 12th National Conference.
The conference to be held in Minneapolis (April 7 – 10, 2005) will explore the changing nature and roles of academic and research librarianship.
Camila Alire, Dean of Library Services, University of New Mexico, will chair the conference committee.

Conference programs will emphasize the need for academic and research librarians to anticipate and prepare for transformations in the profession, and will encourage innovative ways to create and implement change.
Conference theme tracks include: Changing Environments and Cultures; Changing Political Realities; Redefining Traditions; Evolving Modes of Scholarly Communication; Managing Electronic and Digital Information; Teaching and Learning; and Converging and Collaborating.

Call for Participation will be issued in November, and will invite quality proposals for presentations including: contributed papers, panel sessions, workshops, preconferences, poster sessions, and roundtable discussions.
Participation information will be included in the November issue of C&RL News and will be posted on ACRL’s national conference Web site
