ALCTS names Pamela Bluh editor of Papers on Library Technical Services and Collections

The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) Board has approved the selection of Pamela Bluh as the new editor of the ALCTS “Papers on Library Technical Services and Collections.”
The theme-oriented series publishes papers from ALCTS continuing education offerings, conference programs and other appropriate groups.

Bluh currently is pursuing a variety of projects for the series and is working closely with the ALCTS Publications Committee. Bluh will solicit supplementary manuscripts for volumes as needed, and is eager to hear from planners of ALCTS preconferences, institutes, workshops and programs, and individual contributors with ALCTS program-related papers that are interested in publishing their work.

“Pamela was recommended from a group of excellent candidates,” said search committee chair Jack Montgomery.
“In addition to strong credentials, experience and qualifications, she brings motivation and people skills to the position that will help make the series a continued success.”

ALCTS President Brian Schottlaender terms Pamela a “superb choice,” noting that the Board unanimously supported her appointment.

Bluh is associate director for Technical Services and Administration at the University of Maryland’s Thurgood Marshall Law Library, and is a recognized authority on serials.
She has published extensively both as an author and as an editor.
