Speaker added to PLA National Conference Adult Author Luncheon

Peter Dexter, author of the National Book Award-winning "Paris Trout," will join author Harlan Coben as a featured speaker at the Adult Author Luncheon that will be held on Friday, February 27, 2004, during the Public Library Association (PLA) National Conference, February 24 - 28, 2004, in Seattle. Tickets for the luncheon are $35.


Dexter, who is known for his distinctly American voice; deft treatment of race, crime, and violence; and ability to create haunting stories, is also the author of "God's Pocket," "Deadwood," "Brotherly Love," and "The Paperboy."


Other speakers scheduled to keynote special events at the conference include: E. Ethelbert Miller, Anna Quindlen, Sherman Alexie, Linda K. Rath and Christopher Cerf, and Nancy Farmer.
