Deyrup named LA&M associate editor

The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marta Mestrovic Deyrup, assistant professor and librarian, Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., as the new associate editor of
Library Administration & Management (LA&M).

A member of the American Library Association (ALA) since 1998, Deyrup served on publication committees in the Association for College and Research Libraries (ACRL). She is webmaster for the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages, and a freelance writer and editor for
Publishers Weekly, The New York Times, and other periodicals.

Deyrup received her master's degree in Slavic languages from Columbia University and her master of library science degree from Rutgers.

LA&M Editor Bob Moran noted that, "Marta's editorial background and her experience interviewing, a frequent format in LA&M, will allow her immediately to contribute to and improve the magazine."

LA&M is the official quarterly publication of LAMA, emphasizing practical ideas and applied research in library management. Deyrup is responsible for the news section of volumes 17 and 18 of LA&M (October 2002 through October 2004). She will then serve as editor of the magazine for volumes 19 and 20 (October 2004 through October 2006).

LAMA and ACRL are divisions of ALA.
