ASCLA presents preconference

The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) is sponsoring the preconference,
Got a Problem? Successfully Writing and Responding to Grants and RFP's at the American Library Association's (ALA) Annual Conference in Atlanta, Friday, June 14, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

As more and more library organizations scramble for the philanthropic dollars of corporations and for-profit entities, the skills necessary to secure that funding are increasingly valuable.

Come learn from experienced consultants on the how-to's of successful grant writing and the art of responding to RFP's. This is a must-attend for those librarians seeking to acquire, improve or oversee grant proposal writing.

The advance registration date is May 10, 2002. The fees are $175 for ASCLA members; $220 for ALA members, $320 for non-members/international librarians; and $115 for students/retired librarians.

To register by mail: send form and payment to: American Library Association, Dept. #77-6565, Chicago, IL 60678-6565 or by fax: to pay with a credit card, fax completed form 24 hours a day to 1-312-280-1538, (do not mail faxed form).

ASCLA is a division of the ALA.
