Ten ALA members receive Conference Sponsorship Awards

Ten members of the American Library Association (ALA) will receive EBSCO ALA Conference Sponsorship Awards, aiding their attendance to the 2001 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

The awards cover up to $1,000 in expenses and are donated by EBSCO Subscription Services to support attendance to an ALA Annual Conference.

The winners were selected based on their 250-word essay summarizing, "How attending the Annual Conference would contribute to my professional development."

This year's winners are Deborah Battisti, Harrisburgh, Pa.; John Kyle Banerjee, Corvallis, Ore.; Kirstin M. Dougan, Madison, Wis.; Catherine A. Harmon, Saline, Mich.; Sue Hunter, Tempe, Ariz.; Sarah M. Killoran, Massena, N.Y.; Angela Leeper, Wake Forest, N.C.; Jennifer Mott, Spring Lake, N.C.; Sanya P. Oldland, Elizabethville, Pa.; Gina C. Williams, Walkertown, N.C.

The award panels featuring the EBSCO winners and other ALA recognition award winners will be on display at the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco near the registration area.
