RUSA Genealogical Publishing Co./History Section Award recipient named

Margaret Ann Reinert is the 2001 recipient of the Genealogical Publishing Co./History Section Award presented by the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). She is the reference librarian and assistant branch manager, North Independence Branch, Mid-Continent Public Library, Independence, Mo.

The award, $1,500 and a citation donated by The Genealogical Publishing Company, is given to encourage, recognize and commend professional achievement in historical reference and research librarianship.

"Margaret Ann Reinert has spent her professional career graciously providing scholarly assistance to researchers and exemplary counsel to her peers-earning the respect and admiration of all who have contact with her," Samuel J. Boldrick award committee chair stated. "Of particular interest to RUSA members is her on-going archive of the History Section and its various committees."

The award will be presented June 18, 2001, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the RUSA Awards Ceremony during the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.
