Robert F. Moran, Jr. named LA&M associate editor
The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert F. Moran, Jr., director of library services at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Ind., as the new associate editor of
Library Administration & Management (LA&M).
A member of LAMA since 1980, Moran was chair of the LAMA Library Organization and Management Section (LOMS) Comparative Library Organization Committee from 1981-1986. Moran has been a member of the Program, Membership, Organization, and Governmental Affairs Committees of LAMA and served as assistant vice-chancellor for Information Technology at Indiana University Northwest. In 1999, he received LAMA's Recognition of Achievement Award. Moran also contributes articles to
Special Libraries, College and Research Libraries and The Journal of Academic Librarianship.
Moran received his master's in business management from the University of Chicago and his master's in library science from Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C).
LA&M is the official quarterly publication of LAMA emphasizing practical ideas for and solutions to the growing complexity of library management. Moran is responsible for the news section of
LA&M, for volumes 15 and 16 (effective immediately through October 2002). He will then serve as editor of LA&M for volumes 17 and 18 (October 2002 through October 2004).
LAMA is a division of the American Library Association.
