LAMA announces Certificate of Achievement recipients

Joyce Wright and Charles Kratz are the recipients of the Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA) Certificate of Achievement award. The purpose of the award is to honor an individual LAMA member for outstanding contributions to the goals of the division.

Wright is being recognized for her exemplary leadership on LAMA committees, particularly as chair of the Leadership Development and Nominating Committees. She is head of the undergraduate library at the University of Illinois in Champaign.

Kratz is being recognized for outstanding leadership toward the establishment of the LAMA endowment fund. He is library director at the University of Scranton, Pa.

The awards will be presented Sunday, June 17, at 2 p.m., during the LAMA President's Program at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in San Francisco, June 14-20, 2001.
