ALA Development Office announces Tribute Fund
The American Library Association (ALA) is proud to announce the Tribute Fund, a new charitable giving fund that allows association members and library supporters to make personal and targeted contributions. Remittance envelopes are available now through the ALA's Development Office.
The Tribute Fund offers ALA donors the opportunity to honor a colleague or mentor, make a memorial tribute, commemorate a special occasion or event, or help fund a particular program or initiative. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals to show their commitment to the profession and to library advocacy in a personal way. Recognition of the named gift will be sent to the individual or his/her family.
"What a great opportunity to celebrate those who contribute so much to our profession," said ALA President Nancy Kranich. "These funds not only benefit the programs and advocacy of this association, but also allow each and every one of us to put a human face on our donations. This new initiative highlights the vibrant and powerful roles librarians play in communities across America."
Contribute now to ALA's Tribute Fund by using a Tribute Fund remittance envelope, available through the Development Office, at Council meetings and at the Opening General Session of the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco. For additional information on how to make a special gift to ALA through the Tribute Fund, please contact the Development Office at 800-545-2433.
