2001 Ingram Library Services, Inc. Scholarship winner named

The American Library Association (ALA) named Jennifer L. Stone of Bingham, Maine, as the recipient of the 2001 Ingram Library Services, Inc. Scholarship.

The $3,000 scholarship is provided through donations made by Ingram Library Services, Inc., a distributor of books and audiobooks to public libraries, to the ALA Annual Scholarship Bash. The scholarship is awarded to a person pursuing a master's degree in library and information studies.

Stone is a high school library media specialist for a small rural school in Maine. She taught high school English for several years and says, "I have enjoyed the challenge of learning to use modern computer technology and information systems alongside my students." Stone looks forward to serving young people and the community in a new capacity. She will be attending the University of South Carolina.

Stone was recognized in June during the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.
