CHICAGO—Anyone in the library can have great ideas to improve services and experiences for users, but it takes a village to make change happen. Using project management, libraries can accomplish strategic goals and develop employees’ leadership skills. Join Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures on October 5 at 1 p.m. CT for the webinar "Project Management Principles, Methods, and Tools," geared towards library employees from any type of library including those that already successfully use project management. This webinar introduces best practices for project management in the library, including the idea pitch, stakeholders and resources, the charter, and points of communication toward successful completion. By the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to describe a project life cycle, map each stage in the cycle, identify the resources needed for a project, and apply appropriate project management tools to projects at their institutions using templates provided by the speakers.
