CHICAGO—Starting in 2009, ALCTS e-Forums provided an opportunity for librarians in technical services to discuss issues with colleagues across the country and around the world. With the creation of Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, potential e-Forum topics expanded to cover all areas of library work: management to cataloging and collections, technology to building operations, and assessment to access and equity. e-Forums provide opportunities for anyone, from librarians at one-person libraries to librarians and staff at large institutions, to connect with others who may have the answers to their questions. On Tuesday, April 13, Core will present the free webinar "Core e-Forums: What Are They and Why Should I Care?" which will delve into how e-Forums work; how to sign up, manage your subscription, and participate in e-Forums; and how to volunteer to moderate. Attendees of this webinar will learn all about e-Forums, including how they work and how to engage both as a moderator and as a participant.
