CHICAGO- Register today for the upcoming "Welcome to Coolborough: A Story-Based Hybrid Training Program for New Library Directors" webinar scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2020.
The expert panelists will share how the Massachusetts Library System, a state-level consortium, transitioned their most popular program Basic Library Techniques from 2 days of lectures to a new model including a narrative tutorial, applied assignments, and peer discussion to meet the growing demands for a contemporary audience and create a deeper learning experience.
This course is ideal for anyone involved in the design of training materials for library professional development , especially those at state libraries, and those at system-wide, regional, state, or network-level consortia.
The instructors are: Kelly Jo Woodside, a Consultant who works with MA Library System members on issues including instructional design, information literacy, assessment, career development and human resources; and, Kristi Chadwick, a Consultant from the MA Library System who works with members on a range of topics, with specialties in the areas of adult collections, administration and management, strategic planning, and is the coordinator for the Basic Library Techniques classes.
The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is a division of the American Library Association. RUSA serves all types of libraries in reference, user services, adult readers advisory and collection development as well as resource sharing, genealogy and archives, business reference and reference technology.
